"Our quest for quality - At the beginning of 2005 we started our two children Trenton (5) and Samantha (10) in the sport of karting here in San Antonio, Texas. We immediately needed a trailer to haul the karts and equipment. I searched locally looking at some national brands - Pace, Haulmark, Wells Cargo and a few local trailer companies and we just could not find the quality we expected. I did not want to spend thousands on something that would end up being junk in a couple years. I began an internet search and found a company called Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC). I read their site multiple times and it appeared they had the quality we wanted. We decided on a GTS motorcycle trailer and found it at Advantage Trailers in Illinois. We were somewhat nervous purchasing something that expensive site unseen. After the GTS arrived all of our fears went away. The quality was beyond words and was nothing like we had ever seen. Many people at our local track also commented on the quality asking "who made this awesome trailer". Well it wasn't a month after we received the GTS and we got our feet wet in karting and hanging out at a race track for 12 to 14 hours in the hot Texas sun that my wife, how do I say this nicely, gave me an ultimatum. She was not about to sit in the hot Texas sun under an EZ-UP and use a Port-a-Potty or track restroom so if we were going to stay in this sport as a family some conditions had to be met. Her demands were not much - private restroom/shower, air conditioning, BBQ grill, convection microwave, refrigerator/freezer and a place to sleep and eat in comfort cut off from the noise of the track! If that was the ultimatum then I had my input as well. I wanted satellite TV to watch NASCAR, a walk on roof with railing and a trailer that could haul not only my kid's karts but my cars. The ATC T2 gave both parties what they wanted. I have been told it is all about compromise in a marriage and the T2 fulfilled this rule.

We worked with Advantage Trailers who placed us in contact with Rich Schnippel at ATC. Rich,Jim  and I spoke on the phone numerous times about the build and options. After about a month of designing and trying to think of every scenario good and bad I produced a spec. Every electrical plug, light switch, propane line for the BBQ, frame for a custom canvas wall etc was thought out in detail. Our design goals included comfort and safety for my family and to allow them to get away from the track and just relax when the track stuff became to overbearing. In the end I believe we designed and ATC built the ultimate T2. They even custom built it under schedule. ATC should take our design and assign it a model number because it has everything a race guy/gal could ever want in a trailer. It is the perfect length (33') - not to long not to short for getting in and out of tracks. It will haul a car, dragster, karts, motorcycles, ATV's - give the mechanic a walled off garage in the back to wrench and give the gals/family a separate place to get away from it all. With the walk on roof and fold up aluminum rail we have all the luxuries of the big race teams at a fraction of the cost. We absolutely love our T2.

When you invest the kind of money as we did in our custom ATC T2 you want to deal with a professional dealer and sales associate. Jim at Advantage provided excellent follow-up and service. We had a warranty issue with the Sharp microwave in the trailer and Advantage's Service Department stepped up to the plate to assist and promptly sent a new unit out.
