Advantage Trailer Donates Items of Need to West Chicago Dog Rescue

Each winter, Advantage Trailer gives back to a local organization as part of our pledge to be involved in the community. This year, we chose local dog rescue, 4 Paws 4 U 4 Ever, and donated some of their most-needed items — dog treats, paper towels, and bleach.

According to the ASPCA, approximately 3.1 million dogs enter U.S. animal shelters each year. There are many reasons dogs end up in a shelter, including cruelty, owner surrenders, and strays. Local shelters and rescues are an important social service that attempt to connect those pets with new owners.

Approximately 2 million dogs are adopted annually and if you’re in the western Chicago suburbs, you may have heard of 4 Paws 4 U 4 Ever.

Owners John and Shari Casey started in 2004 with a litter of puppies and a pen in their kitchen. Over the past 17 years, they have rescued dogs from overpopulated areas in Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Indiana, Arkansas, and Texas, and matched them with hundreds of good homes.

The Caseys run 4 Paws 4 U 4 Ever out of their home off Roosevelt Road in West Chicago and currently have 24 dogs available to be adopted. We chose their organization because two of our employees have adopted dogs from them in recent years and they are a true local small business. 4 Paws 4 U 4 Ever is fully self-funded and relies on the help of donations like this.

If you are looking to adopt a dog to a loving home, or if you would like to join us in supporting them, reach out to John and Shari at
