Advantage Trailer Giving Kids an Advantage in Life

Fort Worth Metro Ministries has been saving lives for more than a decade.

As a non-profit organization that brings the word of God to underprivileged children, Metro Ministries helps thousands of kids every week directly from the stage trailers they park on school property – making it simple for children to learn and experience the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Directors Buddy and Ruth Calzada visit at-risk children throughout Greater Fort Worth, preaching the word of God in ways the school distract simply couldn't.

“Jesus met people where they work,” said Buddy, “and that’s exactly what Fort Worth Metro is doing – we’re reaching people where they’re at.”

By bringing church to the streets, Buddy, his wife Ruth, and a handful of gracious volunteers are helping children prioritize their lives, zero-in on their goals, and create lasting relationships they’ll remember for a lifetime.

We recently provided Metro Ministries with a new, state-of-the-art stage trailer that’ll make reaching children easier and more impactful. Children like Joshua Jorge – who tragically witnessed his uncle shoot his father in the face. Anger, bitterness and hate resonated in Joshua for many years after that event. It took the mobile ministry a long time to reach this young man, but when they finally broke through to him, it was worth it. Today Joshua is happily married with a beautiful daughter. Him and his wife both have good jobs and are upstanding citizens.

Joshua says he has Metro Ministries to thank for his success.
