Advantage Trailer Sponsoring Fast Ranger Motorsports Team at Sick Summer
June 1, 2023
Advantage Trailer is proud to sponsor the Fast Ranger Motorsports team at this year’s Sick Summer race.
Sick Summer, presented by TBM Brakes, is a five-day drag-and-drive race put on by Sick The Mag. Competitors spend each day racing and then follow a specific route to the next day’s track. Along the route, they have to complete certain checkpoints. The next day, they do it all over again. All told, there are five days of racing with four routes in betweeen.
Each race is open to spectators with a $20 admission. Kids under 12 are free.
The event kicks off this Sunday with Tech-n-Test at the Cordova Dragway in Cordova, Ill.
On Monday, competitors race from 9am to 6pm at the Cordova Dragway before completing the 77.3 mile route to Byron Dragway in Byron, Ill. Along the way, teams have to take a photo with the Rock River in the background.
On Tuesday, racing will take place from 9am to 3pm. Teams will then make their way to the Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, Wisc. There are two checkpoints along the route, first taking a photo in front of the Historic Auto Attractions building and then in front of the Mars Cheese Castle.
Wednesday racing will go from 9am to 3pm at the Great Lakes Dragway. The day three route will take them to the Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, Iowa, taking photos at the Hog Cabin Saloon and the Field of Dreams movie site along the way.
Teams will race at Tri-State from 9am to 3pm before driving back to the Cordova Dragway. This time, there are three checkpoints on the route: Pleasant Creek, Hotrods by Havlik, and Motion Raceworks.
The event will culminate on Friday with racing from 11am to 5pm at the Cordova Dragway.
Fast Ranger Motorsports is run by Aaron Gierke and based in Lake Barrington. They will pull our 4’x6′ cargo trailer behind their car from track to track throughout the event.
